I can’t believe it’s the new year, can you?! A new year means a lot of new designs and patterns. I can’t wait to share them all with you. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head, it’s overwhelming. Let’s get started with the Crossway Button Scarf!
Speaking of something new, the yarn I used for this pattern is new to me. It is called Crazy Sexy Wool by Wool and the Gang. I actually bought this yarn on sale over a year ago with no clear vision of what I wanted to make with it.

This yarn is super chunky! I mean like, SUPER chunky. I used a 12mm crochet hook with this yarn. That is the largest hook I have ever used with a yarn. It is 100% peruvian wool. So if you are allergic to wool, this yarn would be a no-go for you. It works up super quick and has incredible stitch definition.

I was undecided as to whether I wanted to crochet a cowl or a scarf with this yarn. I compromised and created a button option with this scarf. This design is interesting because you can wear it multiple ways.
You can always omit the button and just make it a scarf, possibly adding tassels where the “point” is located on each end. I like options, and I feel the Crossway Button Scarf gives you that. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
